We have some exciting news! We're teaming up with Tiny Talk, Melton Mowbray’s ONLY baby class dedicated to developing your baby’s early communication using British Sign Language signs! You will learn to communicate with your baby before they can speak with TinyTalk baby & toddler signing classes.
What can you expect at a TinyTalk class?
- Weekly themes such as mealtimes, family and a trip to the park gives you the signs
you need to share your baby’s world and daily routine, using British Sign Language signs.
- Sign, sing, bounce and giggle as you join in with action songs, nursery rhymes, use
musical instruments and our special signed story time bringing stories to life through the
beauty of sign. Enjoy our specially composed class music, helping to develop those all-
important listening skills.
- Experience bright and beautiful, hands-on, specially designed sensory activities to
delight your baby and develop their all-round communication and language skills, such
as vocalising, listening and taking turns. They will stimulate your baby’s senses,
encourage visual tracking skills and develop their hand-eye co-ordination and fine/gross
motor skills, all to support your baby’s signing
- Time to relax with a cuppa and a bikky (or two!), make new friends and share
experiences whilst your baby enjoys social playtime and practises their sharing skills
with their new baby friends with exciting toys, tunnels, books and ball pits and more!
- Become part of a community with our optional, private WhatsApp group chats, there
for all your needs, from weaning recipes to sleep tips.
- Early communication using British Sign Language sign has been proven to strengthen
and increase bonds between babies and their parents/carers and encourage talking from
an earlier age.
…all in a friendly, welcoming, and inclusive environment.
Classes run over 3 terms per year, each comprising of between 11 and 14 weeks of
classes. They are bookable by the full term or half term, and you can join anytime! AND
siblings are completely FREE ! No need to pay extra for specials such as Halloween,
Christmas and Easter as they are all included.
The classes do not repeat across the year, meaning there is lots to enjoy, keeping
both the adults and the babies engaged and having fun all year round! This is one of the
reasons so many families choose to return time after time.
Over the year they will cover over 150 signs.. and some babies will learn them all!
Classes are suitable from newborn up to 2 years old.
